How it works
Count days between two dates correctly
The classic mistake with date spans is the off-by-one: whether the last day counts. By default this calculator counts the nights between the dates, the way hotel stays and date subtraction work. Tick the checkbox when both endpoints should count, the way notice periods and event durations usually do.
Exclusive or inclusive
Monday to Friday is 4 days exclusive, 5 days inclusive. Deadlines phrased as 'within 30 days' usually mean exclusive counting from the trigger date, but contracts define it either way, so check the wording before relying on either number.
Weekdays are not business days everywhere
The weekday count covers Monday through Friday and does not subtract public holidays, which vary by country and year. Treat it as an upper bound on business days and remove the holidays that apply to you.
Weeks and days
A 45-day span reads as 6 weeks and 3 days. Reading spans this way makes them easier to sanity-check against a calendar than a raw day count.
