How it works
How the timer works
Enter hours, minutes, and seconds, then press start. When the countdown reaches zero the page sounds an alarm and the tab title flashes, so you notice even if you have switched to another window.
Accurate in the background
The countdown is anchored to a real clock time rather than a decrementing counter, so it stays correct even when the browser slows a background tab. Switch away and back and the time is still right.
The alarm needs a click first
Browsers only allow sound after you interact with the page, so pressing start is what unlocks the alarm. If you open a timer and never touch it, some browsers will show the finish silently.
Ready-made timers
The presets below open a timer already set to a common length. Each one is its own page, so you can bookmark the 25 minute pomodoro or the 10 minute timer and it opens ready to start.
Nothing is stored
The timer runs entirely in your browser. No account, no data leaves the device, and closing the tab clears it.
