the meeting IS on friday
The meeting is on friday
This is the format for normal prose. It is the quickest fix for a line typed with caps lock on, for text pasted out of a document that was set in capitals, and for headings in the many style guides that now prefer sentence case over title case.
The tool lowercases everything before capitalising the first letter, so names and places come back lowercase too. After converting, put the capitals back on any proper nouns. There is no reliable way for a converter to know that "friday" or "sarah" should keep a capital.
